He has one 7 Grammys, 2 BRITS and an Oscar. He is one of the most successful producers of all time. To date he has had hits with artists such as Lady Gaga, Adele & Paul McCartney to name a few. Ronson has also played the Super Bowl. Fun fact - Meryl Streep is his Mother in law.
Waiting up all night till past 4 in the morning, Ronson was anxiously waiting to see if his soundtrack had been selected for the now released Barbie film. Mark was quoted as saying "I wanted to get the job but I also didn't want to just give them some generic dance S**t. I wanted to do something I've never done before".
After hearing that director Greta Gerwig was directing Barbie film Ronson knew he could not miss this opportunity. Ronson said "the minute I knew Greta was directing the film, that she was writing it with her partner Noah Baumbach and that it was Barbie I signed up. I mean I did read the script, and the script was incredible but honestly if it had been bad I still would have said yes".
Later on Ronson asked Dua Lipa to work on the vocals. Artists that also made the soundtrack included, Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, Charli XCX, Sam Smith and Billie Eilish to name a few. All of these well known household names came together to create 17 original songs for the Barbie soundtrack.
